Florence’s Success Story

Our clients come from all different types of backgrounds. Sometimes, we simply need a nudge in the right direction and the right resources to help along the way. For 35 years, our mission has been to connect the Valley’s disadvantaged, homeless, and transitioning individuals to quality jobs. We do this by providing FREE support, resources and tools necessary for becoming employable. SJW hopes that by creating this connection, our clients will become independent and lead healthier lives that benefit their community and families. And we welcome anyone who is struggling with becoming employed into any of our offices to get the help they need.

Before coming to St. Joseph the Worker, Florence worked for Ford Aerospace as an Aerospace Solderer. She was incredibly happy, but also knew her contract with them was coming to an end. She was uncertain about where to apply or how to make a resume to demonstrate her previous experience.

Unable to find employment and acquire an income, Florence filed for unemployment and was referred to St. Joseph the worker. We helped her create a resume and provided her with clothing, a gas card and job leads.

Florence was able to obtain employment at a company where she feels appreciated and valued for her skills. She sees stability and prosperity in my future.

Means a blessing to me, I’ve never heard of anyone that does this for our community. Their kind staff more than anything gave me hope. Thank you St Joseph the Worker.
