Chief Executive Officer

St. Joseph the Worker is searching for a visionary leader to guide the organization into the future.

St. Joseph the Worker’s next CEO must be an effective communicator with various stakeholder groups including, but not limited to staff, donors, government officials, outside consultants, the Board of Directors, and community partners. They must also share the passion for helping people as exhibited by the organization’s staff every day and have the skills to help St. Joseph the Worker adapt to the needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a leadership background and hands-on nonprofit experience. They will have the financial acumen and skills to manage a complex organization with a $4.5 million dollar budget and a staff of nearly 40 dedicated people. Knowledge of managing government grants and contract compliance will be considered a plus.

The CEO must have a proven ability to connect with the community as well as to foster the growth of the organization. They must demonstrate significant accomplishments and past successes, be hands-on, a strategic thinker, planner, and problem solver, and be comfortable driving change within an organization to better serve our clients.

Human Resources Manager

Lead and direct HR Operations as a 1-person HR team; supported by the leadership team. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, those outlined below and helping to build on our growing organization’s workplace culture of service, empathy, dedication, and team first collaboration. This is a newly created position within SJW with the prospect of having a sustainable impact on our mission.
