Brent Downs Resigns As CEO of St. Joseph the Worker

Brent Downs has resigned as CEO of St. Joseph the Worker to pursue other opportunities. Over the last 10 years in his role, Brent significantly grew our organization to meet the needs of the community. Brent’s passion for serving those in need truly embodied what SJW is all about. We wish Brent nothing but the best and are confident he will continue to have a positive impact on the underserved populations that he touches.

Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO Dean Scheinert and Chief Philanthropy Officer Jarrett Ransom, both recruited by Brent, bring to the table the type of seasoned leadership needed to ensure that the organization’s bright future is realized. They are excited about the many successes St. Joseph the Worker is experiencing – internally and externally – through the collective efforts of the organization’s dedicated team including increased funding, new programming such as Workforce Villages transitional housing, and serving more clients than ever.

The search for SJW’s new CEO will begin immediately.
