An Interview with Donna Tucker, a Certified Professional Resume Writer in Phoenix and friend of St. Joseph the Worker.
By Lori Riley for St. Joseph the Worker
Although all of the volunteers at St. Joseph the Worker are valuable assets to the organization, the winner of our Volunteer Award this year, Donna Tucker, has continuously helped St. Joseph the Worker clients achieve that ultimate goal of attaining employment. Donna says, “There is nothing better than hearing the bell ring-another client has gotten work!” Using her professional skills as a resume writer, Donna helped St. Joseph the Worker redesign their resume template and offered guidance to our resume-writing volunteers. Donna spends Sunday mornings serving food to the homeless downtown and many other mornings helping the unemployed create or update resumes, hone interview skills and track job leads. She looks forward to these days. For Donna, volunteering is “satisfying and uplifting.” Donna embodies the spirit of St. Joseph the Worker and all that we represent. Her passion for helping the homeless and unemployed is inspirational and we are lucky to have her and her skills.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support St. Joseph the Worker with your contributions of time and donations. Want to join hundreds of other volunteers who love making a difference for our clients? Click here and find out how.
